What Is a Treat? 🐟
Treats are the currency of Kickass.Name. Here's what they are, how you get them, and why we called them treats.
Every cat deserves treats. So does every founder who finds a name they love.
What's a treat?
A treat is the unit of currency on Kickass.Name. One treat = one full name generation session.
When you hit Generate, the engine wakes up, runs your inputs through the naming pipeline, checks domain availability in real time, and hands back up to 10 verified-available names. That whole process — from your inputs to your shortlist — costs exactly one treat.
What do you get on the free plan?
New accounts get 5 treats on signup. No credit card required. No drip feed — all five arrive at once, immediately, so you can actually get a feel for the product before deciding if you want more.
Five treats means five full generation sessions. That's potentially 50 names to evaluate. For most people trying to name one thing, that's genuinely enough to find something good.
How do you get more treats?
Three ways:
1. Subscribe to a plan. The paid plans come with a monthly treat allowance that refreshes on your billing date. Think of it like a treat pouch that refills every month.
2. Buy a treat pack. If you need more treats without committing to a subscription, you can buy packs outright. They don't expire and stack with any subscription treats you have.
3. Referrals. Bring a friend, get treats. The cat economy is generous.
Why "treats"?
Because "credits" is what banks say. We're a naming product — we have opinions about words. "Treats" is warm, memorable, and honest about the exchange: you give us a little, we give you something delightful.
Also: the cat runs on treats. This is non-negotiable.
